Mac සදහා වන office 2016 වලට අලුතින් update එකක් release කරලා තියෙනවා. මේ update එකෙන් screenshot එකතු කිරීමේ feature එක, open document text (.odt) වලට support කිරීම සහ custom citations සදහා support කිරීම වගේ වෙනස් කම් කිහිපයක් ඇතුලත් වෙලා තියෙනවා
OpenDocument Format (ODF) සදහා සහය දැක්වීම
මේ අනුව office 2016 text, presentations සහ spreadsheet යන සියල්ලේම open document formats සදහා සහය දක්වයි. මෙම feature ඒක iOS වලට එන office mobile app එකටද එකතු කර ඇත.
screenshots එකතු කිරීම
windows වල වගේම word වල සිටම screenshots ගැනීමට, power point වල excel වල ලබා ගත් screenshots ඇතුලත් කිරීමට ribbon menu එකේ ඇති screenshot button එක සහය දක්වයි. 
custom citations
default citation options වලට අමතරව බාහිර මුලාශ්‍ර (external sources) වලින් ද citations එකතු කිරීමේ හැකියාව ලබා දෙයි. ඒ අතර APA, Chicago-style, GOST, IEEE, ISO 690, සහ MLA ආදී විවිද formats ඇතුලත් කරල තියෙනවා.
